Suspicious right upper lobe nodule (LR 4A) on baseline CT lung screening exam
(A) CTLS imaging showed a 14 to 15 mm spiculated right upper lobe nodule, which is at the upper end size for LR 4A.
(B and C) PET (B) and fused PET/CT (C) images in the same patient showed significant FDG uptake in the nodule, which was determined to be positive for adenocarcinoma stage IA.
CTLS: computed tomography lung cancer screening; LR: Lung RADS (lung CT screening reporting and data system); PET: positron emission tomography; FDG: fluorodeoxyglucose.
