This ultrasound image shows a transverse (short-axis) view of the posterior tibialis tendon (thick arrow) and flexor digitorum longus tendon (arrow) at the tarsal tunnel. The large pocket of fluid (asterisk) deep to the tendons resulted from the tear of the posterior tibialis tendon.
