Pansclerotic morphea of the leg

Pansclerotic morphea of the leg
A 12-year-old boy with pansclerotic morphea. The translucent appearance of the skin, the absence of skin adnexa, and the borders of the lesion are evident. The thigh is hardened to the touch. A deep biopsy confirmed the inflammatory-fibrotic nature of the lesion that involved all the skin layers and subcutaneous tissue down to the muscle fascia.
