Cicatrizing right upper lobe atelectasis

Cicatrizing right upper lobe atelectasis
(A) Axial computed tomography (CT) of the chest in a patient with necrotizing pneumonia shows the collapsed lobe is outlined anteriorly by the right middle lobe and posteriorly by a bulla in the superior segment of the right lower lobe. The mediastinal structures are shifted to the right and the left lung is hyperexpanded.
(B) Coronal multiplanar reformatting in the same patient shows the right minor fissure is retracted and the right mainstem bronchus shows horizontal reorientation. The right hemidiaphragm is markedly elevated. Bronchiectasis is seen in the atelectatic right upper lobe.
