Linear "hockey stick" ultrasound transducer for finger and toe examination

Linear "hockey stick" ultrasound transducer for finger and toe examination
A high-frequency (7 to 15 mHz) linear transducer (38 mm) is used to perform ultrasound of the hand and foot. A linear transducer with a smaller footprint (23 mm), like that shown above, allows for more precise examination of the fingers and toes. This transducer is sometimes referred to as a "hockey stick" probe.
