Green neutrophilic inclusions

Green neutrophilic inclusions
Green cytoplasmic inclusions in neutrophils are occasionally noted in patients with an acute medical illness. These images are from a patient with septic shock and acute liver injury who died shortly after admission to the hospital. Green inclusions were seen in approximately 15% of neutrophils. Special stains were negative for iron, myeloperoxidase, and bilirubin.
