The barbell back squat is an excellent exercise for overall strength and mobility. It can be performed by nearly all adults and is demonstrated here by an 81-year-old trainee. As this trainee's proprioception is inconsistent at the bottom of the squat, she uses a low box as a depth reporter only; she does not settle her weight on the box.
