(A) The attenuated anterior rectus sheath is excised, and a series of interrupted sutures are placed along the posterior rectus sheath as shown. (B) The posterior rectus sheath is plicated in an interrupted fashion along the length of the diastasis. (C) Triangulation sutures are placed between the posterior rectus sheath and the two edges of the anterior rectus sheath along the length of the diastasis. (D) The rectus abdominis muscles are reapproximated along the midline following repair.
