OASIS wound separation before and after surgical inspection
OASIS wound separation before and after surgical inspection
(A) This patient presented 4 weeks postpartum after noting that her perineum was still separated; she was found to have an anal sphincter separation without infection. Note the presence of sutures overlying the wound separation. (B) This image show the same patient after the sutures have been removed in the operating room. No infection was present, and the separation (breakdown of prior repair) was repaired.
