Ileal ureter interposition

The ileal ureter reconstruction is used for a long-segment ureteral injury/stricture for which other reconstructions (eg, Boari flap, psoas hitch) are not options. For the ileal ureter, a segment of ileum has been isolated from the intestinal tract and is sutured to the ureter proximally and to the bladder distally.
