TEE image of right atrial collapse caused by pericardial effusion
In this midesophageal four-chamber view (ME 4CV) focused on the right atrium, we can see a large effusion compressing the right atrium and resulting in systolic collapse when timed with the ECG, highly suggestive of tamponade physiology.
TEE: transesophageal echocardiography; RA: right atrial.
