Right ventricular failure with codominance of the ventricular apex
In this image, we see an enlarged right ventricle with codominance of the ventricular apex. The ventricle is nearly akinetic at the base but does have some apical movement. The right ventricle appears hypertrophied (>0.5 cm thick) and is visually comparable in size and thickness to the left ventricle. The interatrial and interventricular septum also both bow leftward indicating pressure and volume overload of the right heart.
