The celiac axis originates from the abdominal aorta, dividing shortly thereafter into the splenic artery and common hepatic arteries. It provides blood flow to the structures arising from the primitive foregut, including the stomach (rotated to show its posterior aspect), duodenum, spleen, and pancreas.
