Operating rooms setup video-assisted thoracoscopy

Operating rooms setup video-assisted thoracoscopy
The figure illustrates a common operating room setup for video-assisted thoracoscopy. The anesthesiologist is at the patient's head. The surgeon stands on the right or left side of the patient depending upon the procedure being performed. The first assistant stands opposite the surgeon. Video monitors are available on each side to provide a direct view for the surgeon, assistant(s), anesthesiologist, and surgical technician without the need for twisting.
