Primary biliary cholangitis, stage 4

Liver biopsy in a patient with primary biliary cholangitis demonstrates biliary-type cirrhosis with hypocellular fibrous septa surrounding cirrhotic nodules. There are no bile ducts present (a finding indicative of ductopenia) and the regenerative nodule shows severe cholestasis.
