Epstein-Barr virus hepatitis
In contrast to other etiologies of acute viral hepatitis (in which there are many scattered areas of liver cell necrosis throughout the parenchyma), the most prominent findings in Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) hepatitis are the slightly atypical lymphoid cells filling the sinusoids. Thick arrows point to atypical lymphocytes in the sinusoids.
