Needle reverberation artifact (arrows). The block needle is placed within the plane of imaging nearly parallel to the active face of the transducer for optimal needle imaging. Note that the bevel faces the transducer, and that the reverberation artifact observed deep to the shaft does not extend to the bevel opening.
