(A) This 3 mm nodular lesion consists of atypical pneumocytes proliferating along pre-existing alveolar walls. There is no invasive component.

(B) The slightly atypical pneumocytes are cuboidal and show gaps between the cells. Nuclei are hyperchromatic, and a few show nuclear enlargement.
