Wrist pivot technique for temporomandibular dislocation reduction
After protecting the fingers with gauze (not shown in the illustration), the clinician applies upward pressure at the point of the chin with the thumbs and downward pressure on the occlusal surfaces of the lower molars with the fingers. By pivoting the wrists forward, the dislocation is reduced.
