Nasal valve anatomy (internal). Speculum examination of the right internal nasal valve (V), the space bounded by the caudal aspect of the upper lateral cartilage (ULC), the anterior part of the inferior turbinate (T), and the septum (S). Nasal valve collapse occurs when the upper lateral cartilage collapses medially (arrow) during nasal inspiration.
