Anterior pelvic tilt is associated with a number of conditions including the pelvic cross syndrome, an abnormal condition associated with tight hip flexors, weak hip extensors and hamstrings, and sacroiliac dysfunction. An exaggerated posterior pelvic tilt with the buttocks appearing “tucked in” (ie, loss of normal gluteal contour) is associated with a number of conditions, including high grade spondylolisthesis.
