The ultrasound image above shows a complete adductor tendon tear. The tendon stump is the hyperechoic (white) area seen to the right of the image and is notable for the irregular appearance of the tissue; the hypoechoic (dark) region represents the tissue defect. A small part of the pubic bone can be seen to the left (arrow).
