Why don’t people with psoriasis take enough exercise?

doi : 10.1111/bjd.19581

Volume183, Issue6 December 2020 Pages e191-e191

A study examining if long?term use of a biologic, including stopping and restarting, is safe and effective in people with psoriasis

doi : 10.1111/bjd.19582

Volume183, Issue6 December 2020 Pages e192-e192

Psoriasis is a chronic disease that causes itchy, scaly patches on the skin and affects up to 3% of people worldwide. People with moderate?to?severe psoriasis may be prescribed injectable medications called biologics. However, people with psoriasis may need to receive medication for an extended period of time, so it is important to know if biologics keep skin clear and are safe to use long?term. Further, people with psoriasis sometimes stop and restart treatments, so it is important to understand if biologics keep skin clear even after a gap in treatment.

Our study aimed to explore the patterns of mortality, or deaths, caused by melanoma over the past few decades, as this information may help us assess whether the strategies implemented thus far have been effective.
