Cone beam computed tomography dacryocystography (CBCT DCG) has certain advantages over other modalities that may enhance clinical utility. The floppy eyelid syndrome describes an eyelid disorder characterized by floppy tarsal plates that may be caused by a loss of elastin. The authors attempted to create floppy eyelids by digesting elastin from cadaveric tarsus and then treated them with cross-linking using ultraviolet A and riboflavin.

Subperiosteal orbital lesions are most commonly abscesses secondary to sinusitis but, in rare cases, may represent other processes. Here, the authors compare the clinical and radiographic presentation of subperiosteal abscesses and alternate subperiosteal processes (“masqueraders”) in an effort to establish distinguishing preoperative diagnostic criteria.

This study established a set of normative anthropometric values for exophthalmometry, and further evaluated whether these measurements differed based on sex or ethnic group.

The authors report a case of 65-year-old diabetic gentleman with a right-sided eyelid lesion that was present for 1 month and turned out to be a presenting sign of a previously undiagnosed pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
