Application of Nucleic Acid-Based Strategies to Detect Infectious Pathogens in Orthopaedic Implant-Related Infection.

McClure, Emily Ann PhD 1; Werth, Paul PhD 2; Ross, Benjamin PhD 1; Gitajn, Ida Leah MD, MS 2,a

doi : 10.2106/JBJS.22.00315

AB Implant-associated infection in orthopaedic surgery remains an enormous and largely unsolved clinical problem with a high rate of persistent or recurrent infection.
