AB The use of lymphoid interstitial pneumonia (LIP) as a diagnostic term has changed considerably since its introduction. Utilizing a multi-institutional collection of 201 cases from the last 20 years that demonstrate features associated with the LIP rubric, we compared cases meeting strict histologic criteria of LIP per American Thoracic Society (ATS)/European Respiratory Society (ERS) consensus ("pathologic LIP"; n=62) with cystic cases fulfilling radiologic ATS/ERS criteria ("radiologic LIP"; n=33) and with other diffuse benign lymphoid proliferations.

AB Superficial angiomyxoma is an uncommon benign mesenchymal neoplasm that usually arises in dermis/subcutis of the extremities or trunk. Some tumors are associated with Carney complex.

AB Despite a wide spectrum of clinical presentations, including primary or secondary, most angiosarcomas are considered high grade. One exception is primary breast angiosarcoma, where historically, histologic grading has shown to predict outcome using the Rosen 3-tier system.

AB Desmoplastic melanomas (DMs) are often challenging to diagnose and ancillary tests, such as immunohistochemistry, have limitations. One challenge is distinguishing DM from benign desmoplastic melanocytic neoplasms.

AB Granular cell tumors (GrCT) were recently found to be driven by inactivating mutations in vacuolar H+-ATPase (V-ATPase) genes, most frequently ATP6AP1 and ATP6AP2. Multifocal presentation is present in ~10% of cases; however, the relationship between multifocal tumors in a given patient has not been elucidated.

AB Striated duct adenoma (SDA) is a rare salivary gland neoplasm defined by histologic similarity to normal striated ducts. However, doubt persists about whether SDA represents a genuine entity distinct from canalicular adenoma and if a malignant counterpart exists.

AB Clear cell sarcoma (CCS) is an uncommon malignant mesenchymal neoplasm of young adults with a predilection for tendons and aponeuroses of distal extremities, a distinctive nested growth pattern, melanocytic differentiation, and usually an EWSR1::ATF1 fusion. Distinction from melanoma can be challenging but is critical for clinical management.

AB Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphomas often express IgM and IRTA1 with only a minority demonstrating plasmacytic differentiation. However, like primary cutaneous marginal zone lymphoproliferative disorders (PCMZLPD), thyroid MALT lymphomas (T-MALT-L) frequently show plasmacytic differentiation and IgG positivity.
